Due Dilligence & KYC

What is it ?

Due Dilligence is the process by which a company verifies the real identity of it's client or partner. This is usually done by requiring and verifying copies of photo identity document and of a proof of address. Additional documents may be required if the first 2 documents are not satisfying the verification, these additional documents can be a second Photo ID document, a Resume/CV, Driver License etc... All the information we collect for our compliance needs are kept private and safe and will not be shared with commercial third parties.

photo id Your passport, or alternatively your national ID card. The document should answer the following requirements:
- A photo along with your indentity information
- A Valid date. Please check the expiry date.
- A sample of your signature
- The Issuing Date and Expiry date
- Birth date and location of birth.
NB: For a passport we need the copy of the double page containing your photo and personal details. For a National ID Card we need the copy of the front and the back of the card.

This can be an Electricity or Water or Gas or Telecom Bill, a Bank or Credit card statement. Or any other bill from a national company or national institution. This document should answer the following requirements:
- Be dated of less than 3 months.
- Must display your name and your address.
NB: If your utility bills are under somebody else's name you will then need to provide us with a signed letter of housing and the copy of an identity document of that person.
company documents For Business account only: Copy of all your company documents including the following documents or their equivalent:< Certificate of Incorporation>, <Articles of Association>, <Memorandum>, <Register of Shareholders>, <Register of Directors>, <Minutes of the Board>, <Signed Share Certificates>.
NB: If the company is using Nominee Directors we will then need the <Power of Attorney> and the identification documents of the real director. If the company is using Nominee Shareholder we will then need a <Declaration of Trust> and the identity documents of the beneficiary.

Account Verification Levels:
In order to comply with our regulators and at the same time facilitate the start of your relationship with us, we have divided our Account Verifciation service into 3 levels as follows:

1- Non Verified Account (Limited Transactions)
registration form For this level of verification you simply need to fill up our online account opening form with your personal data, a valid email and phone number are necessary. You can start buying products from our Merchant's and do micro-payments worldwide via the Web or via Mobile. The transactions limits are low and many of our services such as the OTP Token, Prepaid Card, Payment Gateway, Payroll, Member Management tool are not accessible to Non Verified Accounts.

2- Verified Account (Access to Services & Higher Limits)

This level of verification is done online, from your personal profile page you can click on the Account Verification link and upload your copies of passport/ID and of your proof of address. For the Verification of a Business account you will need to upload all your company documents as detailed above in our Due Diligence document list for a company and please note that for Business Account verification a EUR 49 fee will be required to cover our compliance work. Once our team verifies all your information your account will be then marked as verified. As a verified user you can start accessing the formerly restricted services such as OTP Token and Prepaid Card order, our Payment Gateway and Business tools etc... Transaction limits are higher than for non Verified. Please note that this Verified Account level is an intermediary and temporary step towards the next Certified level. After 6 months or if your traffic of payment exeeds EUR 5 000 per month, which ever comes first, you will need to become Certified Member.
3- Certified Account (Business based on mutual trust)

Getting a Certified Account is advisable as soon as possible so that we can all work together in a trustful and stable environement, without wasting too much time on compliance and focus on our real business: Payment System. Being Certified will allow you to have the transactions limits and possibilities of our system tailor-made to your business needs.

To become a Certified User, you need to go through the 2nd Level of Verification, once your account has become verified our system will propose to you the following steps to become certified:
1- Download, Print and Sign our User Agreement.
2- Get a Certified True Copy of your Documents.
3- Send us all these documents by post or courrier.

Who can Certify your documents?
A Public Notary Or a Lawyer or a Banker.
A Governement or City Hall Officer.
Our Regulated Agent or Partner in your area.
Institutions subjected to equivalent AML regulations.

Once you have collected all the documents please send us a scanned copy before so that we can double check. And then send us the originals by post.

This usually is done by asking for documents and or information about the business activities such as a website url, commercial brochure, marketing flyers, business plan or any other document that details how the business will operate and what products and services will be bought and sold. It also includes information about the origin of your funds.
