Can I send money anywhere in the world after opening a SwissMICSI Account?
Yes you can send money to any other SwissMicsi user account anywhere in the world as long as the country of the user is not in the black list. And then the receiver will withdraw his money from his SwissMicsi account to his own bank account or other withdrawal methods.
Please note that a SwissMicsi user can only withdraw and or deposit exclusively to from his own bank account and only to or from his SwissMicsi account..

How can I send money through internet?
Just log in the Secure User Area of SwissMICSI (called Secure Direct Online), on he left menu you will find the item "Transfer Money", click on it and on the next page you will have to enter the username/email or phone number to whom you want to send money to, the amount and description of the payment etc.. Instructions are given step by step in your secure area.


Can I send money by Mobile Phone?
Yes.

How can I send money by Mobile Phone?
By Secure Direct SMS.
Our Mobile Payment functions are still in Beta developement and for now only work with certain operators in certain countries.
Basically there are 3 ways to use your mobile phone with SwissMicsi:
Secure Direct SMS:
Just send the proper command by SMS to SwissMICSI SMS gateway number. After sending you will receive confirmation by SMS.The list of SMS commands is given in the Secure User Area online under the "Mobile Profile" section, or can be sent to you by email or fax by our support team.
Secure Direct Flash SMS (USSD):
Depending on the GSM operator, you can dial our USSD Number and receive a Flash SMS Menu with the functions that you can use as well as your balance.
Secure Direct Phone (IVR):
A specific number is to be called to access our Voice menu via IVR (Interactive Voice Response) and you can navigate the menu and options.
Please contact us to see if your country and your operator is supported and we will inform you ow to proceed.

How can I get confirmation of reception when my client sends the fee?
When your client sends you money, you will automatically receive an email notification instantly or within a few minutes maximum, with the details of the transaction.
Please note that you need to register your mobile phone number first in your Mobile Profile and activate the SMS notification option if you wish to receive an SMS notification on incoming/outgoing transactions.

Can I send money to SwissMICSI by wire transfer?
Yes.

Can I send money to SwissMICSI by Credit Card?
Yes. As a Verified User you can load money into your SwissMicsi account with your Debit/Credit card, and also you will have higher limits. Please find information here.

How can I withdraw money from SwissMICSI?
You have few choices and more will comes:
  • From ATM anywhere in the world by using Prepaid Master Card issued by SwissMICSI.
  • Wire transfer to your bank account. This is quite convenient and you can send your money to any of your bank accounts anywhere in the world except in black listed countries.
  • Also for verified users you can withdraw money via Western Union, please contact our support team for more details.
Other withdrawal methods will be added in the near future.


Can I wire my money to anywhere from SwissMICSI?
Yes. You can transfer your money held in SwissMicsi to any of your bank accounts or other available method as long as the account belongs to you and that it is not located in a blacklisted jurisdiction.

Do I have to open a Commodity Account separately?
When you open a SwissMICSI account it will automatically activate for you certain currency depending on your country. If you need a Commodity Account or an other currency, you will have to verify your account first and then contact our team to get the commodity or currency account activated. Please note that the commodity account (Gold) is on Beta Testing and thus available on a case by case basis. In your profile menu you will find a page to ask for activation of a different currency/account.

Can I buy Gold coin?
If you have the Gold account activated you will be able to buy and sell digital Gold bit by bit until you have enough Gold to value the weight of a Gold Coin that is available in our shopping area. Please note tha depending on the type of Gold Coin, minting fee and shipping fee will be applied.

I don’t have a Smartphone, just a normal GSM phone. Can I still pay by Mobile Phone?
Yes. You can use SwissMICSI with whatever type of mobile. The IVR (Interactive Voice response) is accessible by any phone can can make a call out and has a keypad to enter your IVR Menu answers. If available with your country/operator you can alsouse Flash SMS (USSD) or SMS commands.

How can I pay by Mobile Phone?
SwissMICSI has Mobile Phone functionalities. There are basically 3 ways which you can use to do a SwissMicsi transaction from any basic GSM Mobile Phone:
Secure Direct SMS (Using specific SMS commands)
Secure Direct USSD (Using Dynamic Flash SMS menus)
Telephone Direct (Using Interactive Voice Response menus).

Our Mobile tools are in Beta Mode and only available to certain customers in certain covered countries with specific telcos. Please contact us if you wish to participate in the activation of our Mobile tools in your area.



How can I check my account balance after I paid by Mobile Phone?

If you have activated your Mobile Phone within your User Area and once you have subscribed to the SMS notifications, you can receive an SMS after each transaction that will recall you the transaction details and your new balance.

You can also use one of the SwissMicsi Account Interfaces to see your balance and manage your account:

Yes. However we advise you to use USSD or IVR instead of SMS payment, as it is not secure to send your PIN code or any account details via a normal SMS. If you wish to use SMS payment function we strongly recomend you to use an OTP Token password to authenticate your inquiry instead of using your secret PIN code number.

Is there any special contract to deal with SwissMICSI Payment Gateway?
In order to access SwissMicsi Merchant tools, you need to open an account and get verified first, and then once verified you can submit/add a merchant website and apply for our Merchant Services. A contract is to be signed for Merchant services and it will specify the terms of usage, the fees and obligations of each party. If you wish not to go through such administrative work, you still can receive and send payments through our Internal Transfer function or using our Payment Links/Buttons/Forms generators in your member area.

I have my own online shop. Can I use SwissMICSI Payment Gateway?
Yes. You can use our Merchant services which comes with many installation modules for the main Open Source and E-commerce tools in the market such as: Oscommerce, VirtueMart, PrestaShop, Magento etc.


How can I set up SwissMICSI Payment Gateway?

After you become Verified User, login to your page, declare your website on SwissMICSI in the Merchant Websites section. Then you will receive a contract to sign and to send back to us. After acceptation and verifiaction of your document, you will get access to our merchant services.

You can then use simple html links to send your customers to our Merchant Payment Page. Or you can use our API documentation to integrate SwissMicsi Payment Gateway into your existing system. Please note that we have developped installation modules for the major e-commerce solutions such as Oscommerce, VirtueMart, Magento, Prestashop etc... I only need to use SwissMICSI Payment Gateway. Must I have a SwissMICSI account?
Yes. SwissMICSI Payment Gateway is connected to your SwissMICSI Account.

If my clients don’t have SwissMICSI Account, can I still be paid?
No. But opening a SwissMicsi account is free and fast, furthermore you can become our affiliate and you can use your affiliate link to invite your customers and partners to SwissMicsi and you will get a commission for life on all the fees we will charge on their transactions and this on 2 levels Click here to register as an affiliate: Open Affiliate Account.

Can I do a Credit Card Payment using SwissMICSI Payment Gateway?
Yes.

What is the fee for Credit Card Payment Gateway?

Credit Card Transaction fees via the Payment Gateway have the transaction fees charged to the Merchant account in the following way:
- A percentage for successfull transactions (starting from 2.9%)
- A fixed transaction fee no matter if transaction is successfull or not (starting from EUR 0.55)

These fees will varie depending on the level of risk of each website and our rates/fees will be proposed for each website on a case by case basis.


How can divide between Credit Card Payment and SwissMICSI Payment?
In Gateway Mode all the transactions fees are charged to the Merchant account. Meaning your customer can Login & Pay from his SwissMicsi Balance and you will be charged the fees for a SwissMicsi Internal Transfer (2% + EUR 1.00, could be reduced in the future). And if your customer chooses to pay you with his Credit Card via the payment gateway then the transaction fees offered in your website merchant contract will be applied.

When can I use money after deposit?
Each deposit method is subjected to different rules and delays. A deposit by credit card, as of today, has a clearing period of 30 Days before which you can not use the amount of that deposit. This is due to our current banking and acquiring partners in Switzerland, and we are working hard to reduce this clearing period to a more acceptable delay. For Bank Transfer deposits it depends on the time your bank executes the transfer, it usually takes 2 to 5 days to reach our account and thus be validated by our team. Other deposit Method will have different delays and rules and the specifications will be listed in the deposit page inside your user area.

What type of Card can be accepted?
We are working on this in order to accept almost every type of card (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Discover, Diners).
For now Visa card, Mastercard, and Carte Bleue are accepted.

Do I need to have other bank account in Switzerland in order to use SwissMICSI?
No.

Do I have any possibility to be refused to pay by Credit Card?
Usually a valid card will be processed if our fraud detection system does not prompt a refusal due to a high risk ratio or due to the card being marked as lost/stolen. In many case you may be redirected to your bank's page to enter your card's 3D Secure code. If you do not know your 3D Secure code please look for the link to retrieve a new 3D Secure code on that confirmation page of your bank.

What is the maximum I can pay in one shot?
For a verified user, that has passed our Due Dilligence and KYC process the maximum transaction amount is EUR 10,000.00. For Merchants or specific users the limits can be reviewed to higher or lower limits depending on the needs of the account and the level of risk involved.

EUR, USD, CHF and JPY.

What about the rate of currency exchange?
The rate of currency exchange follows the rate taken by our Banking or Acquiring partner and is usually based on the international rate minus/plus transaction fees.

Is there a SwissMICSI Credit Card?
No, it is a debit prepaid card. You can only use the available balance/money that you have on your prepaid card.

SwissMICSI Card can be used all over the world?
SwissMICSI Card is a Master Card. Consequently you can use it everywhere in the world where the Mastercard Logo is displayed.

I lost my Card! What should I do?
Contact SwissMICSI team immediately, and disable your Card as soon as possible. Don't take the risk that your card is used by somebody else.
You can contact SwissMICSI through internet, through Mobile Phone, at any time. When you first got your card, you should also have received a letter with the instructions to follow in case of loss of the said card, please refer to those intructions first.


Can I have several Cards?
For now, SwissMICSI is offering only one card program which is limited to one card per persone. In addition, our Prepaid Card program is reserved in priority for our merchants and or our Affiliates in order to be able to receive their income/commissions on the card.

What are the maximum and minimum limits for withdrawal in an ATM?
It depends on the country and the Bank involved. From the card program side, the limit is EUR 4000 per day.

Is SwissMICSI Card directly connected to my account?
No. Your Card Account and your SwissMicsi account are separated for security and legal requirements. A specific seured client access zone for the card is offered by our sponsor bank and will provide you with the transaction history and current available balance on the card. The loading of the card is done exclusively from the SwissMicsi user area, under the Withdraw Money menu.

Can I get No-Name Card?
Yes.

How can I open SwissMICSI Account?
You have 2 ways:
  • You can simply click on the following link and fill up our registration form: Open Free Account.

What kind of documents do i have to prepare?
For opening a non verified account, just your name, email, postal address, birth date, email and mobile phone number are required. To become a verified user you will need to send us a certified true copy of your passport and a proof of address. More information on how to get your passport or national ID certified by competent authorities or by our agent/partners in your area are provided in the Secure User Area.

Do I have to give my Card Number to SwissMICSI?
SwissMicsi never saves your credit/debit card information and only carries the information you have typed in on our secure page to the secure page of our Bank/Acquiring partner.

Do I have to give details of my bank account to SwissMICSI?
Yes. You need to inform SwissMicsi about your bank details for each Deposit or Withdraw done via Bank transfer in order for SwissMicsi team to be able to execute your transaction.

Is there any difference between the account opened by Internet and Mobile Phone?
Both ways will allow you to open a Non Verified Account. However, registering from a mobile phone does not require the complete information that is asked on the web based registration page, and this is done for convenience of Mobile Phone users. However, a user who have an account initially opened via Mobile Phone, on his first login online with his phone number and phone pin code, our system will ask to complete the missing information in order to match an online registration.

My account will be closed if I never use it?
No. Unless your account presents a risk to our organization.

Can I have several accounts with same name?
You can only open one personal account. However you can open multiple business accounts and be the person in charge of those business accounts..

Can I be Verified User from the beginning?
Yes, of course. After confirmation of your account, you can ask for verification and send us your copies of passport and proof of address.

Is there any fee to be Verified User?
No, it’s free. However if you use one of our agent/partner to get a certification of your document please note that our agent/partner may charge a service fee but it is usually much lower than the fee of a Public notary or Lawyer. You can also get your passport certified by a local law firm, a public notary, your city hall, a banker or an embassy.

What kind of documents do I need to prepare to be a Verified User?
The copy of your passport and proof of address are required. Certified true copies are required, SwissMicsi may have regulated Due Dilligence partners in your area that could certify your documents for us. Otherwise please contact us to find the most convenient way for you to certify your documents.

How can I manage my account through Secure Direct SMS?
There are specific SMS commands that you have to send to our SMS Gateway number in order to execute specific transactions on your account. Please refer to our information here after: Secure Direct SMS

Do I have to pay the SMS I received from SwissMICSI?
There are two types of SMS from SwissMICSI. One is an automatic SMS, and the other is a SMS on demand.
  • When you pay to others, or you receive money from others, SwissMICSI will send you an SMS notification. This is the automatic SMS. And this is free during the Beta testing of our SMS functions.
  • "On demand SMS" means when you ask for some information including account balance or confirmation of receipt. In this case SwissMICSI will send you SMS “On Demand". Our SMS notification fee will varie from EUR 0.04 to EUR 0.08 depending on your country and the volume of SMS you need. A specific SMS Credit Account will be used to track your purchase of SMS credit and your SMS usage.

Is Account maintenance fee required?
No. It's free. There are no monthly or maintenance fee.

Why is the transaction fee of an internal transfer shared half and half by the sender and the receiver ?

Our Swiss Regulators advise that in the event of transfer of value between 2 of our clients, the transaction fees shall be shared equally between the involved clients. This is why for an internal transfer between 2 Swissmicsi user, the transaction fee is paid in half by each party.
On an other hand, when you pay a merchant via SwissMicsi, the transaction fees are bared by the Merchant as he is the client in contract with us for that specific merchant transaction.
When it come to loading your SwissMicsi account you will have to bear the SwissMicsi transactions fees and also any other fee that could be taken by your Bank or other insitution that carries the payment.


Does Commodity Account need maintenance fee?
No if your Gold Account holds less than the weight of a Troy Ounce of Gold. Once you have more thana Troy Ounce of Gold you can ask for it's physical delivery, until you require the physical delivery of your Gold a storage fee may be applied and it shall be between 0.5 and 1% of the mass of Gold held for a year.

From where transaction fee will be deducted?
The fee will be deducted from your own account.

Is wire transfer free?
No. There are banks charges.

Is there any possibility to have my account closed?
We do our outmost not to close any account of our clients, unless there is a reasonable justification for us to do so. Accounts that are found to be related to criminal activities or representing technical or legal risk to our organization may be limited to lower transaction amounts or be frozen or closed, to the unique discretion of the firm and the advises/decisions of it's regulators.s

What happens to my money if my account is closed?
In the event of the closing of an account, we will normaly send back the funds to where they came from, unless otherwise required by the regulators or the judicial system.

What is the level of security when I use my mobile?

At the moment there are 3 ways to interact with your account via your mobile phone and we list them here under sorted by level of security, starting from the most secure to the less secure with some instructions on how you can enhance your security.

  • Via Flash SMS (USSD):
    USSD being a kind of GSM session between your mobile phone and our server, and the fact that USSD messages are not stored & forwarded by the GSM infrastructure, nor stored on your mobile phone. Makes the USSD method the most simple and most secure. Additionally you can use the OTP token passwords instead of your Mobile Pin code for additional security.

  • Via IVR phone call:
    This is the second most simple and secure way to deal with your account from your mobile phone. When you are over the phone with our system, you will be asked to make your choices and type your pin code on your phone keypad. Each keypad stroke generates a DTMF sound which is natively a form of protecting the data that you have typed in. Many Mobile Banking methods use the DTMF tones as authentication system. Additionally you can use the OTP token passwords instead of your Mobile Pin code for additional security.

  • Via SMS commands:
    We advise this method only as a last resort or to do actions that do not constitute risks for your account such as requiring your account balance or the details of a transaction. If you wan to initiate a payment by SMS command, it is possible from small amounts, however we advise the utmost care in doing so by making sure you delete all SMS in your phone that could show you pin code. Also by changing your pin code from time to time. Additionally you can use the OTP token passwords instead of your Mobile Pin code for additional security.

In all cases we advise each user to be carefull and not to be dubbed. Our team will never ask for your pin code out of a sudden, whatever the reason is. So never give or type in your Pin code if anybody ask you so from their own initiative. You should only enter your pin code if you are the one that has initiated the transaction with one of our listed phone numbers. Never call or give your details on a different phone number than those that are officially communicated by SwissMicsi on it's website.



What is One Time Password (OTP) ?
One Time Password (OTP) token is a small device which provides a password. The password created by this device is never the same and is valid for 60 seconds only. Also this password as it's name says can only be used one time, meaning if somebody else get this passpword from you he will not be able to make use of it as the password would be expired already. With this additional feature your account is obviously more secured as you can use an OTP password instead of using your Pin code. See more information Here.

What is the meaning of Voice Recognition System? (in development)
This system will record the pattern of your voice, and check your voice when you will call SwissMICSI. Consequently when you will register your voice to SwissMICSI, no one will have access to your account except you. Your voice sample can also be used to authenticate you in case your account is compromized.

What do I have to do if I change my phone number?
Just inform SwissMICSI as soon as possible if you change your Mobile Phone number.

SwissMicsi strictly follows Swiss regulations as to the management of it's financial intermediary activities. As such, our clients funds are segregated from our own funds and thus made available to authorities to refund our customers balances shall anything happen to our company that would not allow us to provide our services.SwissMicsi (under Swiss Wallet SA) is audited by an approved and regulated Auditor.

SwissMICSI is running the regulation of Association Romande des Intermédiaire Financiers, shortnamed ARIF (the Romand Association of Financial intermediaries) which is a Self Regulated Institution under the supervision of the FINMA.
