What is it for?
|
You would like to protect some of your web content and make it accessible only after payment ? MMS, our Member Management System is a free tool that let's you restrict access to certain pages of your website to visitors who have paid you a subscription fee via SwissMicsi. It is easy to use and will help you monetise your audience and your content. An API and also generated PHP scripts are available for both programmers and non programmers. |

How to use the MMS System ?
First you need to have a SwissMicsi Account and be verified. If you are not yet please register here . Then in your user area click on "Personal Profile" and follow the Verification link. Once you have become Verified you need to add a website to your Merchant Profile. Then click on the link called "SwissMicsi MMS" in the left menu in your user area. You will then be in the MMS system and follow the below steps to start using this tool:
Define the website or Url you want to protect:
In this first step you need to create the profile of the website or webpage that you want to protect with MMS System. You can only protect a website or webpage which you have already added as Merchant Website. Select one of your Merchant Website and enter the information about the specific area that you want to protect such as: Name and Url of the Website, Description of the protected content, the back Url is the exact url/page that will be protected and to which the customer will be redirected after he pays. And then click add the website and this will create your MMS Account for this specific website/url. |
Create the Payment Terms (access duration and price):

Once you have created your MMS Website, the next step is to create and define the payment terms. This means that you need to specify how much the customer will have to pay and how long he will be allowed to access the protected ressources after sucessful payment. You can offer multiple Payment Terms for your customer, for example: 10 Days Access for
EUR 10, and an other payment term can be: 30 Days Access for EUR 20. Depending on the payment terms your customer will choose, his login/access to your protected area will last for the duration specified in the payment term he paid for.
Generate the PHP script that will protect your content:

Now that you have created your MMS Website and it's Payment terms, you can from the MMS profile of this website click on the button "Get your PHP Script". This will open a new windows that will contain the PHP code that you can use to protect your webpage. You can copy and paste the html code of your private content in between the <!-- Start --> and the <!-- End --> codes. Alternatively, you can copy all the code above <!-- Start --> and paste it at the very top of your page source code, before your content starts. And then copy all the code below <!-- End --> and paste it at the very bottom of your page source code. You can protect more than one page, just repeat the copy and paste steps in all the pages you want to protect and link between them within the protected content. Your customer will be able to browse all those pages while he is logued in under a paid session. For advanced user you can use your MMS website secure key to call our MMS verification function in order to check if the user is properly logued in via a paid session or not, please refer to the documentation in the MMS "How To" section.
Your page is protected:
Once you have added the PHP protection code to your page, this page will display a login box with also a link for your customer to Sign Up and pay for your content. Once he goes into our payment gateway and pays for his chosen term, our system will send him back to this protected page but this time the content will be displayed to him instead of the login box as the user will be actively logued in via a paid session. |
